What are the active after school clubs?
  • Makerspace Academy
  • VCE Folio and Production
When do the after school clubs run?
  • Time: 3:45 PM - 5:45 PM
  • Day: Wednesday
  • Week 2 - 10 of each school term
Who is eligible to join the after school clubs?

Any high school student can join the Makerspace Academy. VCE Folio and Prototyping is available for students studying a VCE subject.

Can students still do music production?

Yes, they can still do music production in the Makerspace Academy.

How much does it cost to join a club?

The cost for one student is $80 per term. Please get in touch with us if this cost is prohibitive to you.

How long is enrolment?

Each student enrols for one term at a time.

Do I need to submit a consent form?

Yes, a consent form must be submitted before attending the first session. (The Lab consent forms are handled through their system.)

How do I pay?

All programs have a cost of $80 per term.

When depositing the fee, please include in the reference the student’s surname, program and BNTS (Banyule Nillumbik Tech School). 
For example, a reference could be “Smith, Lab BNTS” 
If this reference section is not completed, the payment will not be recognised against your child’s booking. 

What technology and equipment are available for students?
    • 3D Printers (Filament, Resin)
    • Laser Cutter (Wood, Acrylic, etc.)
    • UV Printer (Print onto various materials)
    • Vinyl Printer/Cutter (Sticker production)
    • Large Format Printer (Poster printing)
    • Sewing Machines
    • Embroidery Machine
    • Garment Printer
  • Media and Music Production:
    • Photography and Videography Equipment
    • Podcasting & Broadcasting Studio
    • Music Production (Ableton, Synthesizers, etc.)
Are students required to design their own projects?
Yes, students must create their own designs for any projects they wish to make.
What happens to student work at the end of the term?

All student work must be collected by the end of each term.

Can students purchase food on site?

There are limited options in a vending machine onsite.

What is the latest time for pickup?

Students must be picked up no later than 5:45 PM.
