What are the active after school clubs?

When do the after school clubs run?
- Time: 3:45 PM - 5:45 PM
- Day: Wednesday
- Terms:
- Term 1: Week 3 (12 Feb 2025) – Week 10 (2 April 2025) – 8 Weeks
- Term 2: Week 2 (30 April 2025) – Week 10 (2 July 2025) – 10 Weeks
Who is eligible to join the after school clubs?
Any high school student can join, except for The Lab, which has different eligibility requirements.
Can students still do music production?
Yes, they can still do music production in the Makerspace Academy.
How much does it cost to join a club?
- FREE 2025 TERM 2 for Makerspace Academy and Schools on Air
How long is enrolment?
Each student enrols for one term at a time.
Do I need to submit a consent form?
Yes, a consent form must be submitted before attending the first session. (The Lab consent forms are handled through their system.)
How do I pay?
All programs have a cost of $80 per term.

When depositing the fee, please include in the reference the student’s surname, program and BNTS (Banyule Nillumbik Tech School).
For example, a reference could be “Smith, Lab BNTS”
If this reference section is not completed, the payment will not be recognised against your child’s booking.
Can NDIS help pay for The Lab?
Yes, find more information below.
If you require a receipt for NDIS, please let us know at the time of payment so we can generate one for you. Please send through a billing address when you request a receipt
Group and centre-based activities, such as The Lab, are considered as NDIS supports, so participants can use their NDIS funding to access The Lab.
There is some flexibility as to where the funding can come from within a participant’s NDIS plan. NDIS participants may use Core Supports Funding or Capacity Building Funding.

Are students required to design their own projects?
What happens to student work at the end of the term?
All student work must be collected by the end of each term.
Can students purchase food on site?
No, food is not available for purchase on site.
What is the latest time for pickup?
Students must be picked up no later than 5:45 PM.
