The VCE Prototyping Sessions provide students with access to the advanced facilities at Banyule Nillumbik Tech School to work on their VCE projects.
This is a student-led learning opportunity where students can work independently, with support from BNTS staff as needed. An introductory session to familiarise students with processes, tools, and workflows is required.
The technology available includes 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, sewing machines, sublimation printing, professional media production equipment, VR/AR tools, and a range of traditional maker equipment, such as soldering kits and analog tools.
Importantly, no explicit teaching is conducted by BNTS staff during these sessions.
