Free Teacher PD, Thursday 16th April

Learn to create film special effects with Adobe After Effects in this hands-on beginner workshop designed specifically for teachers. You’ll learn how to create simple animations, add text and visual effects to video, and build engaging content you can use directly in your classroom as well as support students in their film making journey.

This free professional development session will guide you through the essentials of motion graphics, animation, and video effects, with no prior experience required. The session focuses on practical skills, with step-by-step guidance and time to experiment, ask questions, and apply what you learn.

Ongoing Teacher PD 

Makerspace every second Monday

We've changed the way we run regular Teacher PD sessions to make them more accessible and meet teachers at their point of need. 

Each session will have a particular topic, tool or technology area of focus. Teachers are welcome to attend for a session of particular interest and for subsequent sessions, continue working independently on their own projects, think Teacher Makerspace. We welcome teachers to use our technologies and resources during this time to work in their areas of interest, provided they receive the training on the equipment they use.

Alternatively, teachers may attend sessions and be part of the guided workshop for additional topics, tools or technologies. There is no registration required or obligation to attend sessions. Topics will be emailed out each Term.

Broaden your skills base by engaging in meaningful learning led by our Learning Technologist. Leverage our skills knowledge and experience to enhance your confidence and student outcomes.

Fortnightly during term time

Sessions run 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm every second Monday afternoon.

Term 1 sessions occur on 16th March, 30th March

Term 2 sessions begin 27th April
